every answer checked
Quick answers to the questions new players ask most. The fastest way to find out is still to say something to a village.
What is SculptAI?
A game you play by saying things. You tell one sentence to one person in a living village. An AI works out what your words mean to them, once, and then a hundred years play out: your sentence spreads, gets twisted, splits people into factions and outlives everyone who heard it.
How long does a game take?
A century plays out in under a minute. A whole session — trying a few sentences, seeing what the village makes of them — is a few minutes. You get five things to say per run.
Can I lose?
Yes, constantly. Your idea can be forgotten, twisted into its opposite, or die with the last person who believed it. Losing is normal — the game is about what your words turned into, and saying something better next time.
Does the AI control what happens?
No. The AI reads your sentence once and decides what it means to the one person who heard it. That ruling is written down, and everything after it is exact arithmetic — the same run replays identically every time, on any phone.
Is SculptAI free?
Yes — free while in beta, no account, no download. It runs in your browser.
What can I actually say?
Anything, up to 80 characters. “the chickens bring plague”, “no one may say their own name”, “everyone must bark at strangers” — the village will decide what it means, and it will not decide what you expected.
Can I share a run?
Every run becomes a link. Anyone who opens it watches your exact century replay — same people, same words, same ending — and can then try to beat it in the same village.
What happens when my run ends?
The village keeps whatever it decided your words meant, and you get an outcome card for what happened. Some cards are one of one — the first and only time a sentence produced that century.
So what are you going to say?
