The Engine

SculptAI's core promise: the code decides every outcome, the AI only tells the story. A fair world that is always alive.

SculptAI runs on one strict rule: code owns the numbers, and the AI owns the words. That split is what keeps the world both fair and alive.

The engine decides what happens

A deterministic simulation works out every consequence in the game: inheritance, resources, discoveries, crisis outcomes, collapse. Feed it the same starting conditions and the same decisions and it gives you the same result every time. There’s no hidden randomness dressed up as “AI magic.” The machine is honest, and the game shows you its math.

The AI tells the story

The language model never decides an outcome. It takes what the engine worked out and turns it into a living chronicle: citizen names and personalities, the founding myth, the name of each discovery, the color of a feud, the saga on your Legend Card. Every line is grounded in something that actually happened in the simulation.

The AI never rolls the dice.Switch it off entirely and the game still plays perfectly. You’d just lose the poetry. That’s the guarantee: your wins and losses are earned by the rules, never handed to you by a chatbot.

Why this matters to you

  • Fair. Outcomes come from visible rules you can learn and plan around.
  • Deep. History feeds back into the simulation, so small early choices ripple into very different endings.
  • Alive. Every run reads like a chronicle written just for you, because it was.

This same engine is what lets SculptAI run more than one reality. See Worlds.
