FAQ

Common questions about playing SculptAI: run length, losing, whether the AI decides outcomes, and how much strategy experience you need.

Quick answers to the questions new players ask most. Still curious? Start with How to Play in 60 Seconds.

How long is a game of SculptAI?

About 20–30 minutes for one full run of seven generations.

Can I lose?

Every run ends in collapse, by design. There is no game over to avoid, only a legend to build. The real question is how great your civilization gets before the end.

Does the AI decide what happens to me?

No. A deterministic engine computes every outcome, including inheritance, resources, crises, and collapse. The AI only writes the story around those results, so the world stays fair and alive at once.

Do my choices really matter?

Yes. Every choice permanently changes what is possible later, both in this run and, through legacy, in the next. Nothing resets, and everything echoes.

Is there only the medieval world?

Emberfall, a medieval village, is the first world you can play. SculptAI's engine is built to run any reality, and more worlds are in development.

Do I need to be good at strategy games?

No. Three clear decisions each generation, with all the math shown, make SculptAI easy to start. The depth is there when you want it.
